Do not apologise. If you were expecting me to be angry at your defence . . . well, I admit to being somewhat embarrassed - particularly in light of the behaviour of some of the first-years in my morning Potions class.

However, it was surprisingly pleasant to be embarrassed over something pleasant for a change. I never imagined anyone would publicly declare any degree of affection for me, let alone the degree to which you revealed your heart, here.

I am exceedingly humbled, Remus. How I have ever managed to deserve you, I have no idea.

Severus,

We have always been so very private in the past. I did not know if you would appreciate my discussing such things publicly. I have never written publicly, for that matter. So, it was not to be expected, I suppose, that I would ever speak so publicly.

I meant every word. I truly believe myself blessed to be Bonding to you, Severus.

I'll see you later this evening. I intend to stop briefly for a visit with my parents, but I will be home well before sundown.
