My memory is fully functional, I thank you. This is the unregistered individual? Prudence would suggest minimising contact as much as possible until his issue is resolved would be the wisest course.

I hope you advised him of the dangers he is bringing onto his woman-friend risking exposure without being registered.

Change is unavoidable, whether good or bad. Your romanticism interferes with your ability to evaluate situations rationally.

Soppy werewolf.

Yes, that is the one. As I'm attempting to aid him in his endeavors to resolve that issue, distance is something rather at odds with those efforts. But, I have taken every precaution to ensure that he cannot be linked to any of the rest of you, despite my involvement. He knows nothing that has not already been published in the Prophet ( ... )

Stop being obtuse, werewolf. YOU are the one in danger if you are caught aiding him before he's acquired his Ministry jewelry. Do not let your tendency to be too trusting add fuel to Ministry fires.

It is very clear to me, even knowing very little of the situation, that both the werewolf and the woman involved are complete dunderheads. What is he thinking, trying to interact with anyone beyond Ginevra or yourself until after he is properly Registered? What kind of so-called 'friend' is she if she places you in a position of danger just to rescue her lust-object from his own idiocy?

Let it be here noted that I strongly disapprove. I will not ask you not to assist him. Easier to ask you not to breathe. However, I must plead caution. If he's this much of a reckless idiot you could be endangering yourself despite your best efforts.

This last, however, is logic which I cannot fault in the least. There is a definite degree of Slytherinesque appeal in that prospect.

I am not being obtuse, Severus. I am fully aware of the danger to myself. That is why I am trying to protect the rest of you as much as I can.

Trust is not why I help them. I may not have distrusted him instantly, but I have not given him any more trust than I must because of my friend's happiness. I do not know how they met. But, she seems to care for him greatly, however foolhardy it may have been to get involved with him so deeply so quickly. And, if nothing else, I would be involved to protect her from that should he prove false.

In any case, I had agreed to help him before I knew she was a factor. She did not seek my aid in this, but to explain some of his behavior in more, well, personal interactions. It seems being afraid of one's own growl is not a unique trait amoung werewolves with normal people for lovers.

Caution shall be used. I promise. I am sorry you disapprove, but thank you for understanding that I need to do this.

Maybe, if I can help one, it will make up in some way for failing Mandy.
