When you can't get people to stop complaining about the continuing struggle in Iraq, just create more problems for them to worry about to take their attention away! Such as:

I have yet to have all my dishes washed. It seems that the more dishes I wash the more I find don't fit in the dish drain and still need to be washed. Maybe I'll have more luck with it tomorrow . . . oh wait . . . that's right . . . I'm busy tomorrow . . . and the next day . . . and pretty much the rest of the week. Between work and the ever-decreasing daylight hours I haven't been very productive in my evenings. Might also help if they turned off the A/C in here. It's 68 and dropping in my place.
