Water phobia, and a capcapiletApril 30 2007, 06:23:32 UTC
As messed up as it is, I think the water phobia is a racist undertone. Its remincent of slave owner diatribes about the slaves being neanderthals and unable to swim. I remember hearing some of it from people talking about how black kids just couldn't swim, etc. Lame, disgusting, but not a highly unlikely possibility.
On a much less depressing note; I found the cap. Its ransom is Pho, Sushi or Dilletante. Reply to kbaker@talonnw.com, or the cap dies. Wolf is hungry. :)

The cap may be rescued by meeting me sometime this weekend for food, as I refuse to go to the hill where theres tons of good food without partaking. :) Saturday or Sunday are probably best, let me know where, and what time...the cap might live that long.
I despised B.C. as well... Calvin and Hobbes, now there's a comic strip! Or Little Nemo, that's a good one too. Shucks, what's America like now? I haven't lived there for so long I forget what it's like to have people barking at you about their religion and how it's so important.
Ah yes Calvin and Hobbes. That is how a comic strip should be!
Meh...America is still kind of America. Religion is still used to help shape laws and policies. You're still considered a miserable monster if you don't believe. Though I'm happy to live in the one of the least religious states (About 25% of Washingtonians are not religious... yet I can't buy vodka on Sunday), every so often I still get the urge to pack up and buy a flat in England somewhere.
You used to live in US? When did you move? Why did you move? Are you on the run?! All sorts of new things I'm discovering about an lj buddy!
I'm living in Japan, I studied here since last September and I just graduate from this program. I'll be working here over the summer. So to make it more exciting I'll say that I was attacked by the yakuza in America and sold into slavory to Japan and forced to learn Japanese, against my will. Having enough I ran away, to live in the forest. One day at a jinja in the mountains I encountered an old man who would teach me the way of the ninja so I could extract my revenge upon the yakuza of Oosaka city!
Japan?! Really?! Wow! Have I missed an LJ entry or something? Perhaps I'm just a little slow. Congratz on the graduation! Very cool! Though your little story spices it up a bit.
Whoo-hoo! I'm lj friends with an up-n-coming ninja!
Oh I wouldn't say I despised it or hated with *too* much force. Just enough force that you would expect from somebody with conspiracy theories involving fictional cartoon characters. Hehe!
I think I used to like the strip when I was little 'cause I didn't really get it. Then when I saw one of those preachy sunday comics, I was like "WTF?!" Then I just kept seeing more and more religious overtones and weird stereotypes and all around ignorant stuff. And the chase was on!

Of course, now I've wasted part of my glorius sun-filled day reading about jayyyyy-sus (oh and yes, I read all the way through it :D ).

Oh, and being mean to everyone else.
But that was years ago.

Yeah...I remember thinking it was funny when I was a kid. Of course, I also laughed when someone farted during story time.
...
Actually, story time farts are *always* funny!

The "snow is fat water" has stuck with me for some reason though.
99% of comics have ceased to be funny to me...part of growing older, I think.

And what's with the music kids are listening to these days?
And the ipod is nothing more than a calculator glued to a tape recorder.
