Oh for God's sake. Not only are they putting the bloody football on the plasma screens the idiots I work with are cheering and singing along. On the first "ooohhh... that was close" I may completely lose it!

Have I mentioned I really hate football?

Plasma screens are so cool - I had one in my hotel room the other day which was hooked up to some complex DVD-cum-internet-cum-home-cinema system. It was glorious to have all that technology just to listen to John Humphries on Radio 4.

I hate football too. They should show the West Wing instead.

I like the plasma tellies too (though I'd prefer them in my sitting room than on the wall at work) and usually it's CNN Business which is on silent and therefore occassionally unintentionally amusing as we try and figure out what's going on but rarely irritating.

However, today as a special treat we have sound through the floor's Hoot and Holler and all the screen are tuned to the channel stupid enough to spend half their budget on a sport that we as a nation renownedly suck at.
