King Arthur in Fifteen Minutes

Disclaimer and actual opinion: I had a lot of fun watching this one, and it was a perfect “Fifteen Minutes” movie-just good enough to bother parodying, and just over-serious enough to deserve it. I also tried to have more fun writing this one and got a little more loose with it, so all complaints that this or that was left out will be ignored ( Read more... )

Yay! Kim was first to comment! lol...Well...I loved this. My favorite line:

MERLIN: See? Right down to the Middle English swearwords. Your British mother's love saved you from Voldemort freed the sword! Not your father's hate

Bwahahaha! Thank you for continuing to be awesome. After having a friend earnestly tell me that this movie "is really based on new archaeological evidence," this was a welcome relief.

It is, albeit very, VERY loosely. The location and the Sarmatians are the new stuff. The rest is, well... well.

Yeah--I think the general premise of Arturius is very likely, but they took that and spun it out into this crazy anachronistic mess and tried to claim it was "historically accurate." It's a much more enjoyable movie if you remove that expectation.

I actually read the parody of the Harry Potter movie before I saw it (didn't think I was going to see it). And it was great...I remembered a lot of the parody during the movie, and it was hilarious!
