Here's the text of an interview I did that just came out today, apparently. I didn't realize it was going to be an article jointly about the book and Television Without Pity, but there you go.
Wow, what a great article! It sounds like you were able to get across all the right points about what you do, with just the right amount of your wonderful sense of humour.
You haven't lived until you've gotten strange and inaccurate death threats from Harry Potter fans, I guess.
That bit made my night, because it's probably true (scarily yet amusingly enough.)
I actually said a lot more than that--there were about ten questions total. But I'm sure that's how these things are written--the reporter asks each party a bunch of questions to get enough raw material to edit a coherent piece together. I'm almost wondering if Anna Carey would be okay with me posting the unedited questions/answers, just for fun.
Yeah, you can kind of tell when they cut interviews down like that.
I was interviewed once about how the Potter films affect the film business (as I spent over three years working for a movie theater, during which there were two films released), and though I was asked about 15 questions, they basically ended up cutting it down to the essentials. But the choices they made were good, so I didn't mind. It was just fun to be involved in it, I guess.
I'm sure she'd be fine with it -- I get a sense from her writing style she's not only very reasonable and open-minded, but that she's probably got a great sense of humor, too. :)
You know what's weird, and I just thought about it? This is random, but I remember friending you because of your Days of Our lives recaps. And now you're like, this...megaCleo. My, how time does change things.
