I'm not familiar with Farscape but I like this. Will you continue? (SciFi Channel just launched in Australia in Dec so I may get a chance to see some Farscape here.)
Yay a Farscape/BSG crossover! My two loves unite. :) Great story, all though you've left me wanting more and I know that Farscape/BSG crossovers are basically impossible to find. I love the idea of Kara in the Aurora chair. It does have a Leoban-eque feel to it. You can't fight it. It will eventually win. All Scorpy has to do is wait.
The difficulty is keeping Scorps interested--he doesn't Chair people just for kicks. There's always a purpose (with John, wormholes. With Kara... Earth, maybe? Hrm.)
But, well, the shows are suited to cross with each other. You just have to strand the fleet in the UT...
This is so great! I don't understand why Farscape/BSG crossovers are so few and far between--you're absolutely right, all you have to do is strand the fleet in the UT! And imagine--they wouldn't have translator microbes yet. Do we know what language they speak? If it's something like English, maybe only John could understand them. Anyway, I know this is a rather old fic and I don't actually know anything about (stumbled on this randomly, trying to find Farscape/BSG fic) but I do hope you continue. If not this is wonderful as it is, the characterizations are fabulous, thank you for making my day!
I've seen all of... two, I think? One by sabaceanbabe, and one at the massive crossover ficathon that happens every year, which name is escaping my brain, I'm sorry to say.
You're correct. We don't know what language they speak, and they'd be hella suspicious of translator microbes.
In the short term, it would simply be easiest to decide they speak English. Long-term.... It just depends on how easy you want the crossover to be. The more difficulties you throw in, the less likely it's going to be easy to write (unless the language becomes a plotpoint).
I don't think at the time that I'd considered the language barrier, but I do think that if I write something longer (which, I have half-written), I'll microbe people looking for Kara.

Thank you =)
Yes, er. I have this plot that decided to wander in and settle down in my head while at work. Sigh.

I just had to pop in and say "Word" to your apt description of Farscape. Hee!

And the fleet is just so strandable with all those FTL jumps! *g*
As for Scorpy and Kara, I can see how he'd find Cylons as well as Earth facinating.
Anyway, great story. :)
