See, the fact that I think this would be totally in character for Sam just makes it *even more hot*. You are seriously contributing to my switching ships, I just want you to know. *g*

Also, good job presenting Kara's total lack of self-analysis while writing from her pov. That is a total parlor trick of storytelling!

That's the thing. Kara doesn't do self-analysis. She shoves it all in a box and pretends like HELL that everything's ok. That's why she's veering so far from Sam--he won't let her get away with that.

Guh! While I like Sam standing up to Kara, what a frustrating tease! But now you have inspire this image in my head of Sam being pissed off at Lee and walking outside and throwing Kara over his shoulder and carrying her off to stake his claim. rather cavemanishly. hmmm . . .

I imagine that, once she's rescued and back with them, Sam's going to look at her and go, "You ok?" And she'll do the eye-rolling thing and then Sam will go, "Good," throw her over his shoulder and decamp for the nearest bed.

Kara might object, some, but, y'know, when an angry, hot and sweaty man who's (probably) just saved your ass drags you off for sex? You tend to go...
