Doctor Who 7x5. Watched. Thoughts later.

I seriously hope the second episode of Haven (still need to watch) is better then the first. I was extremely disappointed with what I saw, especially after waiting for so long. I'm glad I am not the only one what thought it was lacking.

Me, too. It probably didn't help that I'd just watched Scandal, which is basically Olivia Pope and Mellie punching people in the face verbally. So going from "Ladies rule" to "dudes fight over the little woman" was, um, jarring.

I like Root just because Amy Acker is getting something better than "awkward yet lovable childwoman."

Second Haven episode was a lot better, IMO.

The problem is, she might not be lovable, but she's still got the "childwoman" thing going on. Maybe it's her voice? I don't know, I find her emotional growth about on level with a ten year old.

Hmm maybe? I may just be using almost every other character she's played (that I've seen) as a baseline.
