1. Is anyone watching Scandal? I've only seen the first two episodes, but I found it entertaining. I don't think it's particularly GOOD tv, but I have this thing for the kind of things they do (sneaking onto crime scenes! Protecting madames who are grandmas!). The only sour note is the eye-roll-worthy "OMG OLIVIA LOVES THE PRESIDENT AND SHE IS HIS ( Read more... )

LJ ate my first comment :(

Basically, I agree with your thoughts on Scandal. But I also have a weakness for Kerry Washington so that could also play a part. Love Revenge and Missing. Missing needs more women, though.

Eureka...I shall look forward to those thoughts :)

Oh, I really like Olivia! It's just the stupid TRUE LUV sub-plot which is eye-rolly. I think she's really awesome and compelling, and I love how she's in charge and no one questions it.

Missing does need more women, though aren't there Becca, Violet and Oksana as well as Washington DC lady? I guess that isn't as many as there could be, though. (basically, I wouldn't have minded Sylvie hanging round instead of Giancarlo)

The 'true love'/can't resist him thing is just silly. There were ways to do a connection between those two characters without making it so nausea-inducing.

I guess it's not so much that Missing needs more women as I think they need to give their current female characters more screen-time? Other than Becca, of course. And it'd be nice if some of that screen-time involved interaction with each other, but that might be too much to ask for :)

YES. More screen-time, and interacting with each other. That is exactly what it needs.

I am finding Scandal to be a fun guilty pleasure. I love Olivia and I'm really hoping they drop the President storyline. Even though it looks like they won't. I'd much rather see her with the District Attorney guy.

It's a fun show.

IKR? I sort of half-shipped it from the first time she blocked him from her client.

I'm sort of hoping the season-long plot-arc ends with her destroying the president and unseating him from office. Because that would be awesome.

I am really digging her with the DA. Olivia is the type of character that I can only ship with people who don't take her shit and he doesn't. Also they were slightly adorable in the last episode.

That would be a brilliant ending to the plot arc.

As for Eureka - I don't believe that Person A is really gone - this is Eureka after all! I was having that infamous Monty Python line echoing through my head. "I'm not dead yet!"

I caught a few minutes of POI tonight - intense is just too mild a word for it. I need to watch the whole ep to really figure out what's going on. :)

5. Yes, and I'm not entirely sure why they used Mandarin when almost all the Chinese people in Australia at this time were Cantonese speakers.

And hurray for more Leverage!

5. ... that is really weird. I wonder if they just didn't bother doing the research?
