1. Did I mention I'd seen the new Sherlock movie? I did. It was entertaining and somewhat mindless, and my beloved Mary Morstan was awesome. and I have half-written hen night fic I should finish. hrm

TRUFAX. Also, it's amazing how well it holds up (ok, I was just listening to the audio tracks, but STILL).

(OH ACE AND AUDREY AND MY HEART)

I need to get round to making Ace icons, one of these days. Or at least one for myself.

I got a little frustrated and bored with Sherlock 2 - even though it was perfectly in keeping with the class attitudes of the time and Holmes' being more about `the game' than saving the world - due to the fact that it was perfectly fine to shoot and kill the minions, but seemingly not Moriarty himself. Holmes is one thing, but what's Mycroft's excuse?

Points for staying faithful to the spirit of the original canon, but it's the whole `Ha! Instead of just shooting you, I shall put you in a contribed deathtrap and then...leave you alone!', sort of thing, but from the protagonist side.

P.S.
In my personal canon, Mycroft is the original M of the James Bond universe.

I suppose that's true, but while watching, it never occurred to me they should just shoot him (I think I was distracted by costumes).

Bwahahaha. I'm saddened by the fact that it was more entertaining than all three episodes of the BBC's Sherlock I watched were.

On the one hand, yes. On the other, we only have a liar's word for it. (but it's mostly mindless brain-candy and costume fluff)

But I love this crossover idea! It is a brilliant idea! Also, Seven and Foyle sitting down for a cup of tea (Foyle may or may not have something stronger instead) and not-discussing the important things in life.

I think I'm frightened at the thought of Foyle + vampires, possibly.

But it would be fun!

Frightened on behalf of the vampires, or...?

2. Things one should never crossover: Foyle's War and Doctor Who. Specifically, Curse of Fenric. Christopher Foyle is called to a remote town to investigate the strange goings-on in Maiden's Bay! The War Office objects and Hilda Pearce tries to dissuade him! Sam Stewart tries to talk her uncle, the Rev Wainright, back into having faith (because Sam has uncles everywhere)! Milner and Ace exchange war stories and flirt a bit!

OH MY GOD. I WOULD WATCH.
