More on Chase

Yes, I have watched all ten available episodes now.

It's possible I'm giving the show too much credit, but I really do like it. Especially since a lot of the time, it's basically got women being awesome.

Favorite moment ever? Annie talking a high society wife who was hysterical about her husband getting shot into saving herself by first ( Read more... )

I find I'm liking Chase a lot, too. All the promos were about Annie Frost and my Dad scoffed about U.S. Marshals not being a team, but there is a team! They work well as a team. It's a very nice dynamic.

Though the evil!lesbians weren't evil because they were lesbians from what I saw. More that one went to the dark side after being abused, from what I can remember, and the other was too naive.

Also, Annie talking the freaking out rich lady to safety was indeed all kinds of awesome. I had expected her not to make it, but man, she did on an awesome mattress. Score one for Annie's power going over a phone, too.

Oh, yeah. They weren't evil because of that. It was... other things. Which I actually really liked about the episode? But it is a trope that people dislike.

Bwah. Oh, the dialog is sometimes just atrocious. And it IS mostly a popcorn show. But it sort of fills that Pretender/Mission Impossible niche where BAD GUYS GO DOWN and Good Wins?

Know why I love it? It portrays Texas women like we are. It's filmed where I live. It's still got some awful silly moments, where they drive all the way to friggin Dallas like it's down the road a spell. It's FIVE hour drive and I am sure they have their own office. My latest ho ho was that short run they made to Nex Mexico, that's a good 15 hours away from Houston, depending on which way you go. It's a HUGE state. They should take that into consideration.

Still enjoy it.

Yay!

I think my favorite "wait, what?" on the time to drive places was that one where everyone went to Vegas in, like, an hour. There was a plane ride involved, but it didn't seem to make a difference.
