From the catalog over at Friday Afternoon tea, this is listed as "An unexpected, woody, slightly spicy blend of gunpowder green tea, houjicha, ginger root, and black peppercorn. I love that you have a "Date Night Tea" shelf. [grin] Great review! I'm surprised by the pairing of strong tastes like pepper and ginger with a lighter base tea, but pleased to see that it works. I have just ordered a bunch of tea from Yuuki-cha (where I get all my Japanese greens); there may be tea reviews on my end too, soon.

Well, between this tea and Courtesan, I mean, that's two, so...I decided maybe I should start one. Also Lapsang souchong would go on that shelf. :)

I mean, if my kinky tea brain had it's way.

I do like GK blend, but I also note, it has twice made my tummy feel...funny. In the "Am I getting nauseous from green tea"? way. That's usually a temperature thing, last I checked, and maybe I am drinking it too fast, too hot. No idea.
