So jealous of your shelf. I see that you have "Last game" 1-6, have you read it? and "Toulang Rose" - aren't they pretty? :) - Orange Chocolate!! - Alas, the French is stalling after #6!
Oh you got Shirayuki #7 in special with CD drama? - the spine is different. and Koi Dano #4?
eta: Congrats for replanting the plants and work is progressing nicely :)

Yes, I'm caught up with Last Game! (just finished v6 over the weekend.) I never did finish Toulang Merry Rose though ^^; The special covers you see were from two magazine issues that came with alternate covers as the furoku. (did I send you one of them...? I thought one of the alt-cover sets included a cover for a series you collected and I didn't. can't remember though... maybe Ookami-heika no Hanayome?) I didn't read the last volume of Orange Chocolate yet either-I was reading 12 one night but it was strange and I was tired, but I didn't want to cheat and skim ahead since it was so close to the end. Now I have to go back and remember what was going on. Her new series (Cherry Blossom Tea Prince) is fun so far!

By the way, I just found another of the alternate furoku covers I got (I thought I'd lost it!), for Mikado no Shihou v4. Originally I'd held onto it in case I decided to collect the series, but since that seems less likely now and I know you've got the series, would you like me to send you the cover? It's pretty cute :)

How do you like Last Game?
Yes, you sent me Ookami-heika no hanayome special cover. Thank you.
I'd like to have the Mikado no Shihou special cover If you don't want it :) Thanks.

Last Game: I like it! It's not wildly addictive, but it's cute. The art amuses me because it reminds me of Akagami, but a totally different setting and characters. Maybe the main character being a guy makes it just different enough from other typical shoujo manga... and the post-highschool setting also gives it more flavour. Yanagi is fun to cheer for :) (there is something about awkwardly adorable guy protagonists in shoujo manga-Keidai, Kyosuke from Tears of a Lamb, Yanagi... and then there's Takeo from My Love Story!! :D)

Cool! I will send you the Mikado cover this week then! I'm happy it finally turned up!

Oh my goodness, we do not envy your cold temperatures. I hope you have lots of nice cozy blankets!

We have a problem with a bed frame, too! We ended up taking our bunk bed frame with us when we moved, even though Mom had told us we could probably get free bed frames with new mattresses (which we needed to buy anyway). So now we have a giant bed frame preventing us from putting up shelves in our office. We could probably just take it out to the dumpster, but we think it's still usable so we'd rather donate it or something.

(I always end up reading "Okini" as "Ookini" (regional dialect version of "thank you") which brings up an entirely different image...)

Good luck getting nourishment!

Thanks for your concern! Fear not, I am well-equipped with blankets and sweaters and warm socks and fuzzy cats :D And scarves, I wear those inside sometimes too... Also, I am eating warm food with three of the major food groups represented (grain, protein, vegetable), right now!

Ohhh, I know how you feel about not wanting to dump things that might be useful to someone else. (My brother doesn't have that problem: when he moved out he just tossed anything he didn't care about anymore.) Is there any kind of newsletter/message board or something for your local church where you could put in a little notice, like "free bunk bed frame to a good home-pick it up and it's yours!"? That would also eliminate the issue of finding someone to take you/the frame somewhere to donate.

Haha, sorry for my lazy/careless Japanese title abbreviations... uh, so who's saying the dialect version of thank you? Would it be Honjo?? Hmmmm...

We totally wear winter clothes inside all the time, and it doesn't get nearly as cold in California. Besides, sometimes it's just nice to bundle up and be extra warm.

Facebook might work for addressing our bed frame problem. Also, we just got a call from our new home teacher, who's planning to visit tomorrow, so that might help, too.

I don't know who'd say it! I can't think of any Kansai characters in Hidaka-sensei's stuff. Arata or Maki makes the most sense, because they're the goofy ones. Or maybe Ichihisa?
