"I won't sit and watch it go cold / when summer has left the room"

Studying is what I've pretended to be doing the past week, but in reality I've been glued to the television, watching Jekyll on DVD. And now I really need to fangirl about it, because omg!awesomeness! Oh, the BBC how I love thee. ♥

Everyone has a dark side... *image heavy-ish & slightly spoilery* )

I missed the beginning of Jekyll and turned on around the fourth or fifth episode. By that point it was a little too late for me to follow the plot, but early enough to realise I really wanted to see it. So it's on my list of things to buy or find (it's been a bumper month of shows coming to dvd).

I'll admit to watching SoN - it's annoying and entertaining by about equal measures, but I'm hooked.

Are you reading anything interesting? (do you find the book depository a little slow? my last book from them took about a week to arrive)

I highly recommend Jekyll to absolutely everyone. Really, it can't be emphasised enough how fantastic a series it is. When you eventually get to see it, you'll love it.

South of Nowhere is exactly that: annoying and entertaining. The plot twists are so out there at times and the acting isn't always so great, but damn, I can't turn away!

Are you reading anything interesting?

I'm actually planning on making a 100% book related squeeage entry in the near future (studies keep interrupting me), since I've read some really great books this past summer. Right now I'm in the middle of reading Ireland - A Novel by Frank Delaney (serious literature) and Hunter's Way by Gerri Hill (not so serious literature, heh, need to keep the balance). Both are actually really great books.

do you find the book depository a little slow?Depends on the book, really. Most of the time they've been really fast, but some books have apparently been difficult to find and it's taken a little longer. I think that the books they already have in stock are shipped ( ... )

I watched three episodes of SON last night. My first episodes since season one. So cheesy. I want to come up with a drinking game for it. It would be so much more fabulous if I was a bit drunk. "Adian, Shirtless. DRINK!"

And if you're looking for someone younger, Michelle Ryan as Tom's assistant, Katherine, is very believable in her role as well. And, obviously, totally gorgeous. She almost makes me want to watch the new version of Bionic Woman this autumn.

I watched this last night as well. It is .. pretty awful. I had low expectations and it failed to meet those. Ryan is, I hate to say, woefully miscast in it. :(

SoN is so cheesy and ridiculous. Gah. Though, I have to say that even I have taken notice of Aiden's semi-naked hotness. He is kinda hot.

It is .. pretty awful

The critics haven't been too kind to Bionic Woman, and apparently it really is that poor. Too bad, since the cast seems amazing!

Haven't watched Jekyll yet but I will. Too many things to watch, it's not fair. And it's ok to watch SoN, you can always say you're watching it because of We're Getting Nowhere, no one can argue with that. It's just sad that after next week they're going on a break.

Yes, watch Jekyll! You'll love it. And the BBC series are always nice and easy to check out, since one season doesn't run for 20 episodes like the American counterpart.

And I'm totally blaming We're Getting Nowhere for my SoN addiction. Totally. And I'm not even in Season 3 yet; I've got three episodes of Season 2 still to watch.

Hey, it's the snake girl from Coupling!

"Quality BBC drama with a lesbian cherry on top. What more can a person ask for, really?"

More... Coupling. <-- check out the uncanny double meaning, or triple, if you are imaginative

"TV obsessions... high school drama... How could this not attract you?! Yes, somebody shoot me now. Please"

Watch more Buffy. ;) *shoots*

"my BA thesis quite soon (writing it about netspeak, bwaha!)"

Aw man, why I didn't think of that? Seriously, that would have been a cozy topic for my dissertation. You have such a brain, have I ever said that before?

Oh, you perv! :p

Watch more Buffy.

Buffy is in a league of its own. Nothing can ever surpass it <3

Oh, thank you! *blush* I just wanted to write it about something I'm really interested in; chances of the thesis actually being good are much better that way.

*nods* There's a chance, albeit teachers in our school seem to prefer boring and dry dissertations for the highest scores if the school library's collection of student dissertations is taken into account.
