Fantastic DVD related news (I know, it's sad to be this excited)! First of all, according to Play.com (and also Amazon.co.uk it seems), Season 4 of SVU will be released on region 2 in September. Totally. Awesome. ♥ Odd that they'll be releasing it over here ahead of the USA. Not that I'm complaining. At all ( Read more... )

On a scale of 1-10, how sad will it be if I buy the R2 MiS sets?

Bearing in mind, I already own the whole series twice over (R1 and French).

Very sad.

Well, you can always use one of the following excuses:

1) You're supporting the show by buying all the versions, and this way perhaps convincing the executives over at ITV to make a third series.
2) You're a collector and want all the different versions. It's all about the cover art.
3) You'd completely forgotten the existence of those two other sets in your shelf.

Not sad, devotion!

So, I've finally joined all the Jo/Blair shippers (so. damn. obvious.), since my latest fangirly discovery, television-wise, is Facts Of Life. ♥ I have so many people to blame for this! Although, I probably should've seen this coming, with all the people on my flist who've been raving about the show for years now. I have a feeling I'll be bitten by a vidding bug sometime soon.

That's awesome! It's so great that more talented people like yourself are getting hooked on The Facts of Life. There's a lot of nostalgia tied into Jo & Blair for me, as I grew up with them. (And I've always said that Alex & Olivia are like adult-versions of Blair & Jo.)

The Facts of Life is an easy series to become addicted to; not only is the femslashy subtext totally obvious (I mean, seriously!), but the humour and jokes still work like a charm 20 years after it first aired. That says a lot about a TV series.

I've always said that Alex & Olivia are like adult-versions of Blair & Jo.

That's a fantastic assessment! It's so true, when you think about it.

Considering they've made us wait so long for MiS (after adding salt to the wound by releasing a region 1 version), they should at least have the decency of packing it full of extras. Hurumph! Now, according to Amazon it's already on sale, but Play is saying it doesn't come out until September... That's odd. I may have to go order and see.

Glad to see you aboard the Jo/Blair train - you've found your way to the YouTube haven of lovely episodes, I take it? These two are just so shippy.

It's strange that there are no extras, since that's basically what sells box sets like this - especially as there already is a R1 release.
As for the release date, I'd believe Amazon over Play. Still odd that their information differs, though.

Hee, I haven't cracked yet. So far I've only been downloading the episodes anomalys has uploaded. Though, with Megaupload's unfair download limits, I might need to resort to YouTube sometime soon!

Thank you very much for the warm welcome! Not that I've forgotten your part in this mess. :p
I shall check out your newest vid later <3

And yes, you need to get the MiS DVDs! 'For vidding purposes' is always a great excuse.

Hey, if this means you'll make FoL vids I'm more than happy to take the blame :-P

YouTube is a treasure box at the moment, so many great eps there that should be on DVD. You should definitely go take a looky :-)

OMG you KNOW and like Amanda Marshall! That's so rare around here. I love her. She's amazing. "Birmingham" is my favourite song. Or maybe "If I Didn't Have You", but that's a classic anyway.

Yeah.

Any news about our wannabe Angelina? :P

Amanda Marshall rules! "Sunday Morning After" is probably still my favourite song of hers (it's just too perfect!), but pretty much everything she does ends up on my iTunes playlist. ♥

Any news about our wannabe Angelina? :P

There always seems to be something going on. :p It's been a little quieter lately, though, but I'll e-mail and get you up to date. ;)
