Ah, the summer finale of Rizzoli & Isles. Would you believe it, I actually enjoyed the episode. Incredible. It wasn't without it's are-you-kidding-me moments of ridiculousness, but, all in all, it wasn't all that bad. Although somewhat disjointed in places, the whole Hoyt arc was brought to an end rather nicely

2. I was seriously impressed with Sasha's acting during the confrontation. I really wasn't expecting that "Noooo!" to be so gut-wrenching. And the crying? Kill me now.

2. She was really, really good in that scene. It's a little odd that Maura didn't try fighting Hoyt (or the guard) in any way, but Sasha did a hell of a job with what she was given.

R&I is a different matter entirely and I'm about two or three episodes behind at this point and not really sure if I want to catch up.

Yeah, although I liked this week's episode, it was so good that I'd make anyone sit through the episodes leading up to it. Blergh.

lol about Hoyt, not that it's important, maybe he's stage 4 cancer but not undergoing chemo... hence he has the strength to overpower Jane? still, he shouldn't have been that strong. well, who cares! at least we got to see who Jane really cared about!:p

Ah, that's true. Yeah, he probably wasn't given any treatment, that's the only thing that would explain it. Still, you're absolutely right, Jane showed who she really cares about, so it's all good! *g*

It was the "summer finale". It's going on hiatus until November, and then they'll show the final five episodes of the season. :)

I have to confess *whisper* that I've never seen an episode of Firefly in my life. Hehe?
Omg, you don't ship Castle/Beckett?? But their love is so pure and epic! ♥

2) THIS. When Maura's being, well, Maura, the whole Jane/Maura chemistry works just that much better, too.
4) Haha! So true. I don't know why the writers bother with the random-crush-of-the-week guys when it's obvious that they never work. Even platonically speaking, the show works the best when Jane and Maura simply interact with each other, without boring love interest stuff getting in the way.
5) Precisely. And I found it a little odd that Maura didn't try fighting back. At all. She was just sitting there, doing nothing. Oh well, we got Jane snapping into protector mode, so it's all good!
I concur. If you find some good fic about that missing span of time (seriously, how can they jump from Jane breaking down straight to the surprise party?!?), let me know.
