I think it has to do with the story behind Scheherazade? Idk the story one bit so I am probably grievously wrong.

Scheherazade isn't about snakes, tho! It's about a woman who is being forced to marry an evil Sultan, and doesn't want to sleep with him, so she tells him stories instead to distract him (the stories she tells are The Arabian Nights tales), and over all the time she tells him these stories they end up falling in love anyway.

I told you I was grievously wrong! xD Are one of the Arabian Nights tales about snakes or something? I've never read any of them and I've never read the story of Scheherazade either, so I'm just kind of grasping at straws here. xDDD
