Fic: The Music Snob of Sherwood

As an outlaw, Alan-a-Dale was normally philosophical about minor injury. But there was a certain indignity to being stabbed in the shoulder-the same shoulder!-twice in as many days, by an ally. He clapped his hand to the throbbing spot. "Ow! What is the matter with you, you long dark streak of misery? Are you half mosquito?"

Is that a good "can't even," or a bad "can't even?"

Now I want Twelve to come across someone singing Wonderwall (at karaoke, of course) and flail with uncontainable fury.

Just the idea! <3 <3 <3

This is great, esp. the quip about being half-mosquito on his father's side. :P

LOL! Actually, I really like this, because it felt a bit cold for the Doctor to give poor Alan a 6 month diagnosis and then not fix him once he knew he was real. I kept wondering about poor Alan at the end of the episode, so I love this humorous and fitting end.

Thanks! Actually, I do sort of wonder if we might get a DVD extra covering this very issue, because you're right, not resolving the problem seems a bit out of place for such a fluffy romp of an episode. Still, whether we get an extra or not, I think it's pretty safe to assume that the Doctor would slip Alan whatever anachronistic medication he thought he could get away with-and that he would do so with a lack of bedside manner that rivals Dr. House.

Hi! Big fan of your work, found it something like a year ago. I'm very happy to see you've written something new!

I'm also a big fan of "See Ye Not That Bonny Road" and was wondering, have you ever considered writing something similar for Zoe?

Thanks, I'm glad you like my stories!

And, yes, I've thought of doing something like it, but my writing energy is severely limited now that I have two kids. I think I'll be getting a little more time eventually, since they're more and more self-entertaining by the day, but I don't think I can make any promises at the moment, unfortunately.
