The flying chickens thing is actually a staple of the Legend of Zelda series for quite some time now. Welcome to the '90s. =P
Seriously though, I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the game. Though I personally found myself enjoying the previous game in the series, Wind Waker, a little more than TP, if for no other reason than that the plot felt a little more fleshed out and that the bad guy had such a good motive that I actually almost wanted him to win. Of course you'd have to have played the game before THAT to full grasp said motive....just how it goes when it comes to a series of something, I guess.
And I'm rambling. But hey, if you're ever stuck, ask me! I know the game quite thoroughly.
Hey, you learn something new every day! =D I actually haven't played any of the other games, as you can probably tell-- mostly because the only Nintendo systems I own are my shiny new Wii and my less-shiny old DS. So I decided to just JUMP IN ON THE NEWEST GAME. Continuity? Pffft. I'll figure it out.
Also considering buying Phantom Hourglass. Woooo, bandwagon.
Thank you! If/when I get stuck, you'll be the first person I ask.
