I think Lara is a bitch but even so I can't help but like her. I like the way this fic highlights both those aspects. Good stuff.

For me, Lara manages to straddle the line between likable strong woman and unrepentant bitch, and I just love that tension. It was fun trying to get to the root of that and find the balance.

This is brilliant. I really like what you’ve done with the relationship between Lara and her Hunger, it’s a really convincing (and awesome) depiction of a symbiotic relationship between the two. It makes an interesting contrast with Thomas, who in the books is either defying his hunger or mastered by it.

I’m inexplicably fond of His lips tasted of beer and memories of Troy because that’s just an awesome line.

And Yay Justine! She rocked in Even Hand :-D

This came out of an attempt to figure out how different Thomas is from the rest of his family, and I'm really pleased it pinged that for you too. The tension between humanity and monstrosity is such a big part of the Dresden Files that it was a lot of fun to try to figure out how other people besides our heroes fall on that scale.

Glad you enjoyed it! That line is also one of my favourites!
