Fabulous!

I am also curious as to what will happen to Thomas in the remaining books. I think this depth of despair should yield some fabulous character growth.

I worry for Thomas, even more than I did when Mab expressed an interest in getting her claws into him. At this rate I can't help but think his redemption will come with him dying to save Harry and/or Justine, and I don't think I can face the idea that Harry won't have Thomas as a touchstone through the centuries.

But thanks! I'm really glad you liked it! It's been a while since I've written anything and it's rusty. :)

'Turn Coat' just blew me away. Poor Thomas. This was so bittersweet, and interesting to get it from Justine's POV.

My jaw literally dropped when I finished Turn Coat and I whimpered hard enough that the husband thought something was wrong. But that sort of reaction is really fertile ground for fic, so I shouldn't complain.

When I started writing this, I wasn't sure if I wanted to go at it from Justine's or Thomas' POV, but the mystery of what Thomas is going through just seemed to be more poignant coming from Justine. *pets them both*

Very well written. I think Thomas reflects the despair many of us feel when we sink to a level other people have told us was ours all along. It's a difficult thing to fight. Thank goodness he has Justine to help calm his subconscious at least.

Thank you! I'm of the opinion that Thomas is so much more than what the supernatural community sees. They see him as another White Court vampire, as a predator, but Justine and Harry see him as more, as having human nature and compassion. I cling to the hope that this is for Thomas the darkest hour before the dawn, and that he'll come back with a better understanding of himself and be stronger for it.

But that just might be because I'm a hopeless Thomas fangirl.

Wow, what a lovely piece of work! Despairing and oddly hopeful at the same time. Brava.

Thank you! This was a wretching piece to write, and I just can't help but admire Justine's strength in this, that she still possesses some hope despite the darkness. I'm glad it works and tugs at just the right combination of heartstrings.
