Does anyone feel like beta-ing a depressing piece of Augusta gen? Warning: I do mean depressing, and also upsetting if you have issues with things like alzheimer's disease and memory loss. Word count is around 4,600, and it's not urgent.

I'd be happy to, if you'd like to have me! Your decision, of course.

If you decide I'd be a good fit, better send it to my Yahoo address. Gmail seems a bit buggy at the moment.

Thanks - that would be excellent! I'll give it one more read-through, and send it through.

By the way, if Gmail's being buggy, let me know if you didn't receive the chapter I sent you earlier today.

I've been using Druella. *shrug* I think it's highly possible there was bad scanning somewhere along the line...

That is true. Googling the name wasn't conclusive in the slightest - it seems people are using all three version fairly consistently.

Sent to your gmail address, thank you!

Also, I deleted your address, because I seem to have had a lot more spam after leaving my email addy on LJ lately, so I didn't want you to incure spam on my account :).

Just seconding Druella: I've used that too, because the actual tree seems the best source. But the Lexicon can be confusing, can't it?

Absolutely - just today, I came across a couple of errors that I knew perfectly well were wrong, excluding the Druella/Drusella thing. When it's right, it's great, but when it's wrong, it's very, very, misleading...

I'm sure I remember seeing a scan of the tree where her name looked more like Drusilla than Druella, but since I can't find it anymore and indeed may have imagined it completely, I go with Druella (though what kind of name is that...) No doubt about her being a Rosier, though - one day, I really will get some cousin-fic written... Looking forward to seeing what you do with her!

Re Rosier, I know! Funny, there's so much stress on Bellatrix, Sirius et al being cousins, but it turns out that Sirius really wasn't exaggerating when he said he was related to most purebloods.

Not actually doing anything with Druella, sadly - I just needed her name because someone else is referring to her in a story I'm working on!
