Wow. So far, I love it! Are you trying to suggest that she recovered because of Bellatrix's death? Or was the timing ironic?

I hope you do more with this, because you have a fascinating concept. If you need to brainstorm, you know where to find me. :)

Thank you! I'm so glad you liked this first part.

As for the timing...well, you have good guesses. I think I'll leave the question open for now, if you don't mind. *g*

I don't mind - I think it's good for it to be open. It keeps me curious and makes me want to read more.

Oh, I love the pacing of this. The build-up of hope, the shattering fear and then the dullness flooding back. It's genuinely thrilling. If it were a one-off, I'd think that this has happened before, that Alice has been regaining her memories, but that she would always be sedated before she could get there.

Thank you! And ugh, isn't that a horrible thought? (Especially as I'm sure comparable things happened often enough in our world until fairly recently.)

Oh, goodness, how interesting! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with this. I started an Alice-wakes story (called 'Wonderland') a few years ago, but it's still unfinished. I'm really looking forward to seehing how you approach this So much potential, for happiness and tragedy.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked this - and I'd love to see your Wonderland (heh, I see we picked up on a similar idea *g*) some time.
