This has been goin around for awhile. :o 's not true. Cell phones are unlisted; they can't be released unless you authorize a company to do so.

Ah, well, I did it anyway because I got the info from my cousin who works for the government who got it from higher ups where he works. There's no harm in doing it anyway.

Okay, while I have read the link you gave me and while I have already accepted the fact that I am the idiot who didn't do enough research, I do still have a question that you may or may not be able to answer:

Why did my mother get "junk phone calls" from telemarketers for several months after she got her last phone when next to NO ONE has her cell phone number?
