Tears streamed down my face as I stood in my doorway, paralyzed in fear. My only point of egress was blocked by the large black monster. There were the emergency windows of course, but given the circumstances, it didn't seem like any better an option.

I'm not a fan of bugs. Luckily, I'm blind, so I don't encounter them very often.

I have to say, most bugs are pretty good at keeping their distance from people (as in, not actively attacking you). I guess it never clicked that if you never saw them, they might not be as much of a problem, since they wouldn't scare you as easily.

unless of course they run over your bare foot or try to infest your ears in your sleep :P
