 I think a lot of fans work in pet rescue.  I can ignore Percy and Charlie being littermates, but "Jsquare"? "Hale"? "Snuffles"? "Fraser"? "Batman"? "Harold" and "Kumar"? This sort of thing does absolutely nothing for my resistance.
