"Oh, hey! Nathan Petrelli! I can give you a ride this time, if you want," Hiro said, leaning out of his car window.

Nathan stood up from his seat on the curb and brushed himself off, nodding. "Thanks, man," he said, voice scratchy.

"So," Hiro said after watching to make sure Nathan buckled himself in properly, "were you here because you were, uh, whooosh?"

"Nah," Nathan said. "Just out for a walk and ran out of steam."

Hiro nodded. "I am just out for a drive. Let's hope we don't run out of gas!"

Nathan laughed, even though the joke wasn't really that funny. Hiro just had a way of making you want to play along.
