lol. tending to wounded animals can be a precarious feat. i can't decide who's crazier. bat-shit defensive Prussia who is still trying to saw his ropes on that glass as his arms go numb or Austria who's fond of him anyway. (no one makes badass awkward quite as convincingly as this combo...hmm. i think i might have to manifesto them, too...)

what a perfect way for Austria to appear in your fic. i think i damn near passed out trying to picture him in some navy cotton pants and gray t-shirt (is is okay for austria to wear t-shirts?!?! only if they're v-neck?!?!)...tending to half-naked prussia (this is happy place).

I am often drawn to batshit crazy, awkward couples/friendships. Not sure what that says about me, but whatever…

My thought on Austria is that he can be modern if he wants, but most of the time he just doesn’t care to. And yes, v-necks are both approved and appreciated. The perfect combination of comfort and style.

This was fantastic, and I never get tired of reading about your competent Prussia who still has his shit together even in modern times. I loved how he remained so wary and ready to fight even after the whole situation was over and how he couldn't quite bring himself to relax in Austria's presence. And his observation of how Austria can fight with words was brilliant!

I’ve read my share of fic where Austria gets completely steamrolled by Prussia, but I view them more as equals with different strengths. Because if it was so unbalanced, there’s no way they could have been such serious rivals back in the day.

Haha, I know who you are!! Yay! (I will always have a soft spot for LJ, as so much of my lurking has involved it. The move to tumblr went right over my head). Also, late comments are kind of my trademark :)

Lack of English words or no, I completely get what you’re saying. In fact, the working title for this before I picked the real one was “shameless Pru Aus self-gratification fic.” A bunch of my guilty pleasures all in one fic.

I actually spent a lot of time trying to get Prussia’s balance right, so glad to hear it!

I so agree on Austria. One of my all-time favorite moments is when he spends all day getting Germany to run around and do his bidding after being annexed. His sneaky, manipulative self knows exactly what buttons to press! I try to keep that in mind when I write him.

And never apologize for long, flail-y comments. I really appreciate it, thanks!! And am super happy that you are still writing too. I love your Prussia and Austria :)

Haha, Austria's relationship with Germany is a case example of how sly he can be. I honestly think Germany truly believes he is sort of a damsel in distress who will be a complete fail if he isn't around, but really, Germany ends up doing everything Austria tells him to. Austria even gets to sit on him because he's tired! And Germany trusts him! Someone's the winner here and it's not Germany.

(That isn't to say he isn't full of fail, because he is a SUCH a bag of fail. But not the way people expect. He has a somewhat sadistic sense of humor/irony. Also I am ranting and will leave now but THAT had to be given an 'Ayup!' to. Also thank you too aww I really try to make them entertaining to read and stay IC.)

Tumblr is such an odd platform and I have no idea how it supplanted LJ, except for that moment where Igrick was an asshole. I do have one, though, out of desperation.

Austria’s sadistic sense of humor - yes, yes, yes! I’ve wanted to write something where Austria goes off on some raging insult and the recipient doesn’t even realize they’ve been insulted until much, much later. But lol, my writing’s not quite that subtle to be able to pull that off yet!

I’ve been debating getting a tumblr, because there is some epically hilarious stuff going on there. But I’m not sure I have anything to say so I’ve held off.
