( The logical part of him knew that Prussia never offered to switch their roles more out of a preference to be in control rather than because he didn’t trust Russia. )

This was absolutely gorgeous! You have no idea how happy it makes me to see a story that portrays Russia in such a positive light. Every word of this fic was like salve on boils because 99% of the fandom would have written this completely differently.

Thanks so much! I really like Russia (he's kind of adorable) and I think there's a lot of missed opportuities with him in fandom. It was fun to write from his POV.

I totally agree. My and my weak constitution have been scared off by Russia fics for a while, so I was really curious how you would write him.

...and I really liked the way you treat him, and in your other fics, too (the Germany dating him one and even the passing mention where Prussia sets the record straight on what went on between them).

Now I totally believe in good boyfriend Russia. :)

But, once again, it's the adorable Prussia that zinged me.

The Prussia love just don't quit...

Thanks! I think by this point, it’s pretty clear that my love for Prussia is out of control…

I’m happy to hear that you conquered your Russia apprehension enough to come on over! I’ve seen a lot of non-con and dub-con with Russia/Prussia and was curious what a happy and healthy relationship between them would look like. And once I got to thinking, it wasn’t even that hard :)

(and just so you know, Prussia always reciprocates and keeps a bottle of vodka in the freezer for Russia’s visits)

Probably one of the most human and well-balanced characterizations of Russia I've seen - and I wish I could say I would have taken the same situation down the same pathway but I don't think I would have and for that I enjoyed this immensely; whips and chains are flatly exciting but there's so much more intimacy involved in such acts with another that never get discussed or shared. Those hidden, often raw experiences combined with the heady excitement of seduction and desire make your fic such a pleasure to read. Please, don't stop. :D

Aw, thanks! I love the aspect of pushing and negotiating boundaries and I’m so glad you enjoyed my more sedate take on this pairing!

Fun fact: I actually do love this pairing on the fucked up side, too, especially when the author manages to capture some of the childish cruelty we see in canon Russia. Haha, back to my love of sex+violence :)
