Three laptops is not three times the fun

I just found out that my London client will be issuing me a laptop. This means that for the next year I will be in possession of (1) my personal laptop (2) my company laptop and (3) my client laptop. Which is fine, except that I will be flying back and forth to London pretty frequently ( Read more... )

I knowww, my life would be so much easier if I could. But sadly that laptop will be my only way to work connect to our client's secure servers, so where I go, it goes :(

Haha, maybe I'll get some good shoulder muscles hauling all these computers around!

Seems like there should be a way to have 2 different ports to access 2 different servers in one machine... the personal I understand, however couldn't you partition one drive to have three separate entities (client, work, personal) all on one hard-drive access? I may be an inchworm trying to tell a duck a better way to fly, but it just seems like 3 separate machines is not the best way to go about things!

Good luck lugging around all those batteries... ugh!

Yeah, technically there should be, but these guys are pretty anal about their data privacy (not that I can blame them - I work with their internal banking transactions) so no crossing the streams, I guess...

Lol my shoulders are gonna get one hell of a workout!
