I don't usually read a lot of ensemble one-shots because they tend to have so little focus that I get confused, but this one stuck together really well and was pretty coherent despite the chaotic events in it. I think it was because you stuck to America's POV, so the reader didn't get thrown around all over the place.

Where do I even start with all the hilarious things in this? I loved the little exchange between Russia and Prussia, every single moment with England, the kiss with Hungary and all the other little details that showed so well what a fun catastrophe the party had to be. I'm glad for the conclusion America came to in the end because otherwise he might not remain sane after this!

Thanks!! I wish I could say it was a strategic decision to stay with America, but the truth is that I suck at omniscient POV :) Happy to hear it didn’t come across as too scattered - this was a bit of a departure from my usual, and I had a lot of trouble getting it going.

I’m so glad that you enjoyed it, and that the humor worked (the Russia/Prussia part was my favorite to write!), especially with the characters I’m not as familiar with!

There many things I liked in this but my favorite has to be the part where China thought he was seeing fireworks!

Spain as "Dirty Sanchez"... I almost fell off my chair. Really.
Russia and Prussia's exchange was indeed very fun but Austria's Kraftwerk Christmas had to be a favorite. I can just feel America reaching epic face-palm status throughout the piece and lord it was too funny. One of the best Xmas fics ever - I'm so glad I stumbled in here :)

Nice 80's sitcom joke, BTW. ;)

Haha, well when Austria attends a party he expects a certain standard of entertainment. And what Austria wants, Austria gets :) And I freely admit that America facepalming at all the older nations will never get old for me.
