Whe last we heard from our hero, She was starting a new workout plan and thinking of finding a job that is more challenging.
The workout plan is going great. I am in the middle of week 4 and increasing my cardio and weights at the gym! I feel better.  You can really see the benifits of working out at fighter practice.  A month ago I could maybe ( Read more... )

i never lose as fast as some other people do. it's depressing, but i figure at least i'm doing a program i can maintain; if i went super crazy i'd just get pissed and stuff it.

also, i was told once that if you are losing more than a pound a week you're probably losing muscle, not fat.

...so, some places i've been it's extremely rare, even frowned on, for somebody who is already a peer to be someone else's dependent, even in a different peerage; the idea is that fealty gets all mixed up and so it's inappropriate. i'm not critical, just curious as to how you work that out.

oh - and i wanted to take your autocratting class this weekend, but i was a dork and scheduled my own class against it. so i will not be there (sad!). you wanna teach it again sometime?

I have heard that opinion before. In AnTir it doesn't seem to be too big a deal. In my mind, one does not have to be an apprentice or squire or protoge to someone to learn the craft and learn to master it. We are a Kingdom that, I would like to think, is pretty good about recognizing those who are not in fealty to others. Julianna is a great example of this ( ... )

oh, you absolutely don't have to formalize a relationship or swear fealty to someone in order to learn from them. anyone who would demand that before sharing their knowledge doesn't deserve the fealty, and probably doesn't have much worth sharing! :) i think the argument i've seen is that if you have dependents in fealty to you, and then you swear fealty to another peer, it messes up the relationship. it's also been implied that no peer should swear fealty to anyone but the crown, that it 'lowers' them somehow, but i don't get that.

anyway, thanks for sharing. and good luck with the learning process!

autocratting: sweeet. i'll talk with pipistrell and see if she wants to make it part of our a&s schedule.

and i would be happy to help you with your heraldry, but you don't have to see me to do it - i can draw either, but i can use photoshop. tell me what you want (in english is fine!) and we'll make it happen.
