I was watching a show the other day that was looking at a receiver that picks up the electric signal that get sent to the mouth to speak, and they were picking them up and either running them through a speaker, or transmitting them to a receiver in someone's ear. The next step was to transmit them to a chip in someone's head and miss the spoken but altogether. Telepathy!
