This fic is just too wonderful...

Alfred and Arthur together made me squeal (I ship them hard) but then I felt bad when Toris showed up. And Alfred telling him it wasn't just an affair! Looooooove! <3

Gaaaaaah, so bittersweet. But I loved it. This entire fic; I absolutely loved it.

The part with Arthur and Alfred was sweet and the part when Alfred let's Toris know that it wasn't just an affair was even sweeter. From this perspective, it's easy to see why Alfred suddenly hated Ivan so much; taking Toris's freedom is like a personal blow to Alfred.

Just the emotion and the horror of war and how Toris is affected by it was well written. I actually liked the scene where Ivan comes in, because Toris really stood up for himself and the scene was very vivid.

:D I just loved this. Awesome work.

I'm glad you like it--wartime Lithuania is very, very hard to write. XD; Because there's no precedent already set, on how Toris as a character would act in that kind of situation...so I may have fudged it a bit.

You fudged it well, I think. :D

I am inclined to agree, to be honest. I ran into the problem here of not being entirely sure how Toris would act in a situation of war--since, you know, we've never seen it in canon. So I wrote his behavior according to the country's behavior at the time, which was resistance-resistance-resistance. I figure at some point a nation-tan has to put aside their personal wants and act upon their people's wills...and I also couldn't see Toris trying to plead/reason with Ivan, just because Toris knows he's crazy so what would be the point. It was a challenge. D:

Thanks for the comment, though. :>

Thank you very much! I am literally ten minutes away from driving to the airport to fly to Melbourne, and I just thought I'd check Hetalia with that time, and what do you know! 'Yearning to Breathe Free' has updated! Cue me dashing for me USB so I can save it as a word document and take it with me...
Soyes, I haven't got any time to read it right now and won't be back from holidays for some two weeks, but I honestly cannot wait until I get a spare moment (probably on the plane...) to read this, and I'm sure it will be awesome, and I'm looking forward to the epilogue even as sad as it is that the fic is finishing.
I'll actually give a proper review then! n.n;;

D'awww! D: So sad! So sad! You strike me with the drama that you write :,) Before I this chapter I couldn't begin to imagine how awkward Alfred and Leit's reunion was, but now I see clearly how it could is.

Although this chapter was not as eventful relationship-wise, I still liked it because it showed how an actual and realistic couple would be like after a relation ship. And that's one of the things I like most about this fic, it's realism.

Thank you again for continuing a wonderful story!

Thank you! <333 Fitting World War II into one chapter was...a pain, to be honest. XD; So I didn't get to make it as relationship-centered as I wanted. I'll try to balance it out with the epilogue.
