A Little Help? The Lynley/Havers Ship Manifesto
So. Some of you may have heard of ship_manifesto , a community that collects essays on various 'ships from tv, manga, literature, etc. and why they work.
So, because I am facing surgery, finals and an accelerated vet tech program, naturally I decided I just had to write one for the pairing that has set up shop in my heart (and the fic-writing center of my mind).
But I'm not the only one who adores Lynley and Havers, and I sure as hell am not the first. I'm not the only one who loves the way she snarks at him and the way he always turns to her and the way they work and the way they fit. "You really are a double act, aren't you!" said DI Fiona Knight in "Natural Causes", and she couldn't have been more right.
So tell me - why do you love Lynley and Havers? What is it about them that sets your little shipper's heart all aflutter? Why are they perfect for each other? Why do they belong together? When did you just know it was just them for each other, always? What quotes, what lines, what actions had you sitting up and going, "Whoa. These two are so in love with each other."? Anything and everything you want to say about them, on the record, for the world to see - say it here, say it now, say it proud.
