favourite episode(s)

this community needs a little discussion. So what's your favourite episode of ILM and why? :D And what's your favourite season, if you have one :) My favourite season would be season five...or four *hm ponders*. My favourite episodes: Word of God (s4), One Guilty Deed + In the Blink of an Eye (s5). I wished I'd remember older episodes.

Well, I haven't seen them all yet, but so far I think my favourite is either A Traitor to Memory or The Word of God. I like Angsty!Lynley, what can I say? ;)

I don't think I have a favourite season, really. Four episodes just doesn't seem enough to get a fix on it each season, if that makes sense? If only they made more!

what was A Traitor to Memory about? I can't remember.

It's the one about the violinist, where Helen finds out she's pregnant and Havers resigns.

hmmm not quite sure if I remember that episode. Wasn't the brother the killer?

You know at the moment I really can say that I remember the early seasons only in a blur. I might have to rewatch it again before I can say something of value :P

lol same here, but I like the non-book-episodes better than the once adapted from EG's novels.

It's probably the same with me cos when I've read the book and then see it on telly. I get annoyed that things are changed or important parts are left out.

Ummmm....I love them all????? LOL I haven't seen Season 5 (darn it!) so I can't comment, but I have to say that from Season 4 my two favorites are the season opener (I mean who cannot love Lynley being worried about Havers during the hostage situation and her so slowly breaking down crying in his arms!) and Word of God (Where Lynley and Havers have a heart to heart talk ending with an affirmation of how much they mean to each other as well as the heartbreaking cliffhanger of Lynley being led away by the coppers!).

season five is good, not so much L/H shippiness, but good stories :)

oh I loved that scene so much :( poor Barbara *hugs*

Oh, no, really! Not much L/H shippiness!:( Well at least there's good stories:)

Yes that was such a great scene! Very reminiscient of early Mulder/Scully where Mulder recuses Scully from a serial killer, Scully keeps insisting that she's fine, and finally breaks down crying in Mulder's arms!

you have Barb!angst though, if that's count, because she's alone...again :( Lynley's not... *spoils* *hides* But more L/H angst next season, yay! :D (ok there won't be another season, but two specials...)

hmmm *needs more L/H icons*

I really like Word of God. It's become my favourite ep. I like how there was a kind of role reversal at the end. I can't wait to see series 5.

I've been working on getting the older series. My library has them but I can't always seem to get them. How dare someone else check them out? LOL

Mr. Jarndyce!!! (ok, I know it's not really Mr Jarndyce, but his actor...I loved him in Bleak House)

WoG is one of the best episodes IMO. Season five is great :D *pets her internet connection* *g*

I can't wait to see season 5. I've been trying to stay away from the spoilers seeing as how it'll be another year before it shows up in the states.

I have serious Denis Lawson love going on at the moment and it's fun to rewatch Bleak House because you get Den and Nat (sigh).

I know what you mean! I couldn't help rooting for Mr. Jarndyce although it all worked out well in the end:)

i think it has to be in divine proportion. the way that lynley describes the divine proportion to havers whilst looking at her face so affectionately emphasises how much he cares about her, and is possibly attracted to her, but is unaware of it himself. also, the scene at the end where havers breaks down and he comforts her is so beautiful. thats more than a working partnership if u ask me!

hey there :)

The Divine Propotion is probably the favourite episode of almost every L/H shipper ^__^ We all love this ep! And it got Mr Thornton Richard Armitage.
