What if I knit a sweater in four parts, but it needed no seaming? What if I knit the sleeves from cuff to mid-torso, with a division for the neck that cut off an inch or two short in the front? ...and then did a three-needle bind-off at the back, rather than a seam? ...and then knit the body down from the sleeves in two parts ( Read more... )

I'm generally good at two-dimensional to three-dimensional thinking, but I've got to tell you, I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this.

Wow, sounds interesting. I bet it would be fun to knit, if not a challenge - but a good one, I suspect. I'd love to see it. Love the name!

I don't have time to knit all the sweaters in my head, Lia. It's a little crazy-making - I want to cast on Right Now! - but I have three other design ideas queued up already...

It just struck me as such an interesting way to put a garment together. An answer to all the people who knit round to avoid seaming.
