Those years [10/?]
The car ride was quiet and awkward, to the extent that Kyuhyun kind of wished Heechul was here.
He sat next to Zhou mi who had his eyes fixed on the road, Ryeowook, Yesung and Leeteuk sat stiffly at the back.
“Ummm….”
“Uh…..”
Zhou mi and Leeteuk opened their mouths to talk at the same time.
“Yes?”
“Yes?”
Kyuhyun would have laughed if he wasn’t busy staring out the window and playing with his fingers.
Zhou mi and Leeteuk both paused. It would have been awkward, if wasn’t already.
“Uh…do you guys want to listen to some music?”
“S-sure!” Ryeowook, Yesung and Leeteuk all blurted.
Zhou mi turned the radio on, classical music drifted out of the speakers.
“Uhmm….it’s the only radio station I listen to…but I have a few of Henry’s albums in the glove compartment. Kyuhyun-ssi? Can you please put the CD in?”
Kyuhyun silently put inserted the CD in and Henry’s pop music blasted out.
Leeteuk and Yesung bobbed their heads in time to the music while Kyuhyun stubbornly stared out the window.
Ryeowook hummed to the song.
“You’ve know this song, Ryeowook?” Zhou mi asked with a hint of surprise in his tone.
Kyuhyun’s fisted his hands.
Ryeowook…no “ssi.” Unlike how Zhou mi called him..."Kyuhyun-ssi"
Ryeowook nodded enthusiastically “I bought the album! I had this song on replay for a while actually…” He admitted coyly.
“It’s nice isn’t it?” Zhou mi grinned, hardly keeping the pride out of his voice. “Henry wrote and produced it all by himself.”
Yesung and Leeteuk “Woaahh” and “Ohhh” ed while Ryeowook nodded proudly as well.
Kyuhyun flicked his eyes to look at Zhou mi.
Zhou mi wore a tender smile on his face while tapping on the wheel to the music.
His eyes sparkled.
Kyuhyun felt his heart tighten as he recognized the expression.

“Kui Xian! Kui Xian! I bought your single! Look!” Zhou mi happily pulled out Kyuhyun’s newest solo single out of his bag.
“I really like it! I have it on replay everyday!” Zhou mi waved it around excitedly his grin wide and proud.
Kyuhyun smiled and gave a small nod“That’s nice hyung…”
“I saw your win on inkigayo this week! You deserved it! Congratulations!” Zhou mi pulled him into a hug.
Kyuhyun sighed “Thanks hyung…uh-”
“Hey, you want to go out and eat later? I’ll treat you! As a celebration!”
“Uh….” Kyuhyun can almost hear his laptop back at the dorms calling out to him.
He had been so busy with promotions that he hardly had a chance to game…dinner with Zhou mi can reschdule to any other day right?
“Uhmm Sorry hyung, I’d rather go home and rest.”
Kyuhyun didn’t notice, too distracted to notice Zhou mi’s smile dropping but forced to stretch into a fake one again.
“That’s okay, I understand…rest well okay?” Zhou mi grinned his usual cheerful grin and patted Kyuhyun on the head.
“See you hyung! I’ll call you for dinner sometime.” Kyuhyun said before hurrying out of the building.
They didn’t talk on the phone until the next time Zhou mi called him.

“Kyuhyun-ssi? We’re here.” Kyuhyun focused on the surroundings outside the car to see that they were on a quieter, smaller street compared to the usual NYC atmosphere.
“I hope you guys don’t mind, it’s just a small family restaurant.
Kyuhyun looked at the direction Zhou mi was pointing at, a small neon “Korean Food” sign flickered at him.
“Me and Henry liked to come here a lot when I was in university and before he debuted, it’s kind of comforting to us at that time.”
Kyuhyun couldn’t help smiling to himself at the fact that Zhou mi and Henry found comfort in a Korean restaurant.
Zhou mi lead them inside the restaurant.
“Ajumma, Ajusshi! Annyong!” Zhou mi shouted a cheerful greeting at the middle aged couple standing at the counter.
“Ah! Cho mi-ah! Long time no see! Aigoo, you’re getting too skinny! Eat more!” the middle aged woman came and rubbed Zhou mi’s cheeks, Zhou mi chuckled “De! I will! How can I not when Ajusshi’s cooking is so delicious?” The man laughed heartily in satisfaction as he gave Zhou mi a light hug.
“Little Henry is already here, they’re upstairs, I didn’t know you two were friends with such big stars! I guess it’s reasonable, since Henry is a singer too.” The ajusshi laughed and winked “Please give us your autographs later alright? Who realized Super Junior would come to our little restaurant in New York! I’ll have to show off to my daughter when she calls back!”
The four Super Junior members nodded politely and followed Zhou mi upstairs.
It was hard not to notice the way Zhou mi sat himself immediately next to Henry, Ryeowook naturally sat next to Zhou mi, but Kyuhyun picked up his chair and planted himself between Ryeowook and Zhou mi.
“The air con is directly blowing into that spot.” He pointed at the spot he was supposed to sit in.
No one questioned him.
Heechul looked kind of pissed. “A Korean restaurant out of all the choices? Really seasoning?” he raised an eyebrow.
Zhou mi smiled innocently and shrugged “I thought you guys would be homesick.”
“Yes! We haven’t eaten one proper Koren meal since we set food in America!” Donghae whined.
Heechul only scoffed some more.
The food arrived and was surprisingly good, which shut Heechul up.
“I still demand to go to a club.” He said in between mouthfuls of bulgogi.
Zhou mi only smiled his gentle, professional smile.
“Um….excuse me….” A few young girls approached their table, one in the lead while the others hiding behind her shyly, squirming.
“Can we please have your autographs oppa?” The one at the front squealed excitedly, we never dreamed of meeting Super Junior here! Please please please? We’ve been your fans since forever!”
“Ahh….sure.” Leeteuk gave them a small smile and accepted the papers and pen.
The girls screamed and giggled.
As the paper got passed around the table, the girls chirped with excitement.
“We saw the news that you guys were here, we were just talking about how luck we would be if we got to see you guys! I can’t belive we would run into you guys like this! It’s like a dream!”
“Yes! Do you guys live near here? There was no news about where you guys were staying!” The other girls were starting to talk as well.
“Uh..no we stay at a dorm right now.”
“A dorm? So will you guys stay here for a long time?”
“Umm…not sure yet..”
“Oh….the recent come back song was so good! We were sad that Kangin oppa, Shindong oppa and Kimbum oppa left, but we were so happy that Hankyung oppa came back! I hope you guys will perform again as 13 members, even for only one performance! It would be like a dream ome true to see the all the 13 members of Super Junior together again.”

Kyuhyun turned to look at Zhou mi nervously.
Henry was cutting up the kimchi for him while Zhou mi was just eating and smiling at Henry about something he had said.
As if the whole conversation was not his business.
Kyuhyun suddenly felt angry for some reason.
“Uhm-“ He was just about to get his shitty face on and tell the girls to leave them to their dinner when suddenly one of the girls pointed at Henry.
“Oh my God! Are you Henry?”
All the girls turned their attention onto Henry who just looked up in confusion.
“Ahhh!!! It’s Henry!! Oh my God! Pinch me! Am I dreaming??” The chattiest of the girls screamed while the others gasped and ogled in surprise.
Henry finally realized what was going on and put a finger to his lips “Please, please don’t scream….I don’t want to attract a crowd.”
“Oh my God, he spoke in Korean! His accent is so cute!” One of the girls gushed.
Henry shook his finger which was against his lip again and the girls hushed.
“Sorry…..but we’re like your biggest fans! Can we please have your autograph? Please?”
Henry nodded and scribbled down his signature on all the girls’ papers.
“Can we please have a photo too? With all of you? Please, we promise we won’t put it online or anything!” the girl took out her camera with hopeful eyes.
Henry winced “Uhmmm….I’m sorr-“
“Sure, I’ll hold the camera for you guys okay?” Zhou mi had already reached over to take the camera out of the girls hands
Henry looked at Zhou mi who smiled in acknowledgment.
After taking the photo Zhou mi handed back the camera to the girl
“Remember your promise though, if the photo goes online I’ll you’re the one who did it and I’ll hunt you down okay?” He smiled mischievously and winked.
The girls blushed and shuffled away, their voices raising due to excitement.
“Oh my God, who was that guy who took the photo? He is so hot!”
“I dunno, maybe a trainee? His smile! I almost died!”
“I know! His wink! So cute!”
“I hope he debuts soon if he is a trainee, I’ll definitely be a fan!”
Henry chuckled and poked Zhou mi in the ribs while Zhou mi continued eating as if he didn’t hear.
Kyuhyun stared at his bowl in a daze as he thought about what the girls said.
“13 members.” His heart tightened for Zhou mi.
“Kyuhyun-ssi…Kyuhun-ssi? Kui Xian!” Kyuhyun snapped out of his reverie.
“Uh-y, yes?”
“Do you want some water?” Zhou mi raised the water jug in front of him.
“Uh….yes please..”
Zhou mi smiled and poured some water into his glass “What were you thinking? You still have the habit of staring into space.”
“I-uh…hey wait,” Kyuhyun realized something “What did you call me just then?”
“Hm?” Zhou mi frowned in confusion “Kyuhyun? Kyuhyun-ssi?”
“No! The one after!”
Zhou mi looked away in realization and coughed “Uh…sorry, I just wanted to get your attention.”
“NO!” Kyuhyun shook his head “Uhh…I mean, you don’t have to apologize…uhm..” He sipped his water “I like it- um, no I mean, I don’t mind-no, I-I uh….you can call me that…I don’t mind.” He looked down and played with his fingers.
“Stupid!”
“Okay….uh…Kui Xian.”
Kyuhyun looked up to see Zhou mi smiling at him, not his usual small, work smile.
A wide grin that showed his perfect teeth, like the smile he used to wear on his face so often.
One of the girl fan’s voice drifted into Kyuhyun’s head.
“His smile! I almost died!”
Kyuhyun would have to agree to that.
