Oooh. This is wonderful and chilling. You got the Fred voice down so well, and Molly and Arthur, and the whole time I was wondering where George was, and just. Wow. Really nicely done. Wow.

Thank you! Hmmm, yes, I was wondering if readers would be distracted by the very obvious absence of George; it's nice to hear that the fic could toddle along without him until the reason for this absence became plain. I'm glad you liked the fic!

That is a seriously cool idea :) I love what you did with it. It took me a while to work out why George wasn't mentioned (oh, heck, I'll admit it, it wasn't until after Rattles got given away...), but when it dawned? Wow. How cool.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the fic! My hope was that the ending would not be obvious from the very beginning, but slowly reveal itself, so it's good to hear that the fic snuck up on you like that, and that the surprise seemed like a good one. Thanks for commenting! :)

Wow! Very very cool. I, too, was wondering where George was, and then I just decided that you were taking a "they're twins, not attached at the hip" method, and right after I decided that, I got to the ending! A very satisfactory surprise, there. Funny and scary - I can totally follow Fred's logic but wow, the consequences. Great piece!

Thanks! And I'm glad it seemed at least somewhat plausible that Fred would want to do something apart from George. No doubt twinship can be a burden at times. But I don't think Fred would want to be deprived of twinship altogether -- for me, one of the most joyous and yet eerie aspects of HP is that marvelously tight partnership Fred and George have, and it was fun to imagine a way Fred might have had to work for it. Thanks again for commenting, and I'm glad you liked the fic!

(Fred does seem to be more real than George, doesn't he? Never thought of it that way before. I just thought George was the gay one.)

While I was writing this fic and thumbing through the series to see how the twins speak, it did start to seem that way, but I assume I was imagining things. Erm, yes. Absolutely. No doubt. *dons tin hat*

I just thought George was the gay one.

Only George? Straight, gay, or omnivorous, I can't imagine the twins doing anything but share and share alike. :D
