Oh, that is fantastically nifty! I love the texture-work in the stone, especially around the eye. Its gorgeous :D And nice work on the human figures. I've always been dreadful at them.
Really cool pictures. Especially like how the girls hair is stuck to the teeth/lashes of the giant eye. What's the story about, and don't just answer "about an Incan curse"...
It's about this guy who goes looking for the descendants of King Atahualpa or something or other. He finds them hiding deep in the tropical forest, and after living with them for a bit and falling in love with the princess, they pretend to take pity on him and send him away instead of killing him. Apparently he's been poisoned though, so he starts seeing these weird big eyes everywhere - which turn gradually into mouths with teeth and stuff. After a late-night call to his friend about a big mouth on his wall, he shows up dead, beheaded and bloody.
Sounds like a cool story, I'd like to read the original sometime. You know? I'm now taking a subject about the "Crónicas de Indias", the first examples of Hispano-American writing. It's really interesting. On the first day the teacher told us of king Moctezuma II and different native American groups from the present-day south of the US to Isla de Tierra del Fuego. I'm enjoying it very much.
