I realize that I have been remiss in speaking of the newest addition to my collective geekiness....
Through the trade of house sitting my friend Mary's two wonderful dogs I got a ... sonic screwdriver!

And since I had a rough start this morning- with ( Read more... )

this unhealthy obsession with technology is the sort of thing you that'll get you tossed into the fortress of infinite darkness straightaway. i'd be careful if i were you because it isn't like random groups of easily corruptible dwarves bearing cosmic maps are just growing on trees ya know. you end up in that little cosmic rusty spoon and you could be there quite a while little missy.

You see the problem with your logic is that you assume that I will be stuck on a rusty spoon- like anyone would kick me off their spaceship! :-) And if I do, there's always the hope that a dashing rogue pilot in need of passengers will drop by- and then its off to even more adventure!

if you are looking for a dashing rogue pilot of the, "who's scruffy lookin'?" variety i may know a guy. i think you'd like him, he's a real scoundrel. if perhaps the lady is more partial to a pilot in say, very tight pants with a thing for lost causes then the lady is very much in luck as it turns out this very same fella also kinda reminds me of him as well;>

Gee. I wonder who you could be (pathetically and thinly veiled) talking about? Where's your spaceship?

thinly veiled... perhaps. pathetic?!?!? nope. sorry, not buyin that one your worshipfulnessa (like that one, i thought it had a certain ring). as to the ship, let me say two things; 1) i'm more in need of a good mechie than passengers. i believe you of all people are quite aware of the limits of my otherwise ample gifts when it comes to things mechanical beyond and perhaps including the average mechanical pencil. 2) since she is a fast ship with a few little upgrades i've had installed myself over the years not just anyone gets to see her. you wanna see the ship, princess (considered an inara reference here but backed out since you'd throw it back at me that i was calling you some sort of whore) you gotta join up first.
