Forgive me, Father...

... for I have sinned. It's been fourteen days since my last confession... er, post.

I can't really say I've done anything terribly interesting with my time, either -- which I suppose is a fairly big sin.  My folks came to town over the weekend.  On Friday night we were supposed to drive out to their hotel to hang out, have Red Savoy's pizza, and go ( Read more... )

I found out that if I ignore the "service needed" light on my car long enough, eventually the "check engine" light will come on, which always freaks me out, because I expect something catastrophic to occur.

I'm glad your's was nothing.

Me too. Car stuff freaks me out as well, since we're a one-car-family, and, while St. Paul has OK mass transit, it's tougher with school schedules and all that.

Thanks! He's still using a cane to get around, but he's out of the hospital and doing STUFF again, you know?

Apropos nothing, you should pimp yourself here, Lyda. Kelly already did. :)

Yes, I'd really meant to make it to Kelly's signing, but without a car (and the folks having only just left at 1:00 pm,) I didn't quite make it. I hope there was a good turn out.

And thanks for the tip, though I don't know if I'll take Scalzi up on it. I'm not sure that his audience is mine any more. Having done the "Big Idea" post, I hoped for a much bigger sell-though with Resurrection Code and it just didn't happen. And, considering how much I hate writing advertising blogs... I'm not entirely convinced it's worth it.

Oooh, shiny chairs!

Yeah, check engine lights need to be checked. Oil lights aren't that wonderful either.
