Glad you approve. :) I feel like I cheated in a way, it's so much something I'd do anyway ... ah well! :)

I agree. Before my husband died, our dates consisted of dinner at "the naboob place" (his name for it - naboob means "soup" in Ojibwe) and then bookstore for about three hours.

I think that sounds a wonderful kind of date and I approve (and I am very sorry to hear about your husband's death - it may be silly to say that but as I didn't know before it seems rude to let it go by unmentioned)

Thank you for saying that. He was a lovely man and I miss him every day.

Have you seen They Came Together with Amy Poehler and Paul Rudd? It's a total spoof on ALL THE ROM COMS and there is a hilarious scene with the two of them in a bookstore (or maybe I just find it hilarious because I work in a library so book based humor cracks me up)

Anyway, your post made me think of that. :) You'd definitely need to be in some kind of fun city for the museum+bookshop combo to work. New York also has a lot of great stores + museums (and a very nice library too...just sayin')

I have not seen that - I shall look it up, I bet it amuses me (I like book based humour too, unsurprisingly! ;) )

One day, I'll get round to visiting America (New York in particular) I'm an anxious traveller so I need to psyche myself up for it but it'll happen!

They have those museum sleepover thingies, you could go to one of those after finding a late opening book shop:)

Ooooh, that would be awesome. I've often heard about them but never actually been on one and it would be pretty cool. Maybe one day I will make that happen!
