Oh, I'm sorry about your father. @_@ I'm a total worrywart myself, so... I can imagine that. I hope it's not too bad! I've never heard about such conditions before, but it must be pretty damn unpleasant to say the least. Good luck to you all.

Thank you. :) I tend to worry quite a lot about things and I know I get into silly states sometimes but it's hard not to once you've started, if you see what I mean!

I've heard of things like it before actually - there's various little things that can go wrong with the osphegaus - skin and muscle stuff and so forth. Really, I'm sure it's not that serious - I just fret! :)

An EGD? At least it's minimally invasive, though urgh altogether. I hate the whole scoping business. But hopefully it'll help the GIs there diagnose it!

*prods gold boy* Wow, his nieces/nephews are almost hatched and he's still not grown.

Yeah, that was it. He didn't really enjoy it - and then there was sedation which gets rid of having to notice it!

Little gold boy has FINALLY grown and is having a child of his own! He will add to the family tree! :D

They usually only sedate the back of the throat for those though, so I don't think it's really totally unnoticeable!

Little gold boy has nieces or nephews! But one's been sick since yesterday so Light and L are coddling it. *prods vine to grow up so healthy hatchling can come back to scroll!*

Eek. Your poor Dad, that sounds horrid. *sends 'get better' thoughts in his direction*

I felt guilty the other day for buying 5 lots of babywipes because they were on special offer. They were on SPECIAL OFFER and we always need babywipes, for goodness sake! So yes, much empathy with the "this is reckless extravagance" mindset!

It was pretty nasty and he didn't enjoy it. But he seems okay now and he's eating much more carefully.

We must try to defeat this mindset! See, that's clearly a sensible purchase and yet somehow, the brain betrays and ignores us. Grrrrr. I SHALL buy things when I want to, yes!

Oh, man, I hope everything is fine with your dad for good 'n' all. I know that would drive me mad worrying.

I'm pretty sure it's only a little thing really - it's just anxiety-inducing! But I'm feeling better about it at the moment so that's good and he's being careful with this food so it should all be okay. *hugs* Thank you.

I hope your dad's okay, send him my best wishes.

Don't you hate it when they secretly change the price of public transport?! So stressful (as is when the price of the Guardian changes). I'm glad it didn't happen this time though.

Will do. :)

And yes! Yes, I do! Especially if you've budgeted for it! I was so unimpressed when the trains abruptly did it and I was going "Wait, what? Um ... yeah, I have 15p in here somewhere ... "
