There was a gov’t program in place that subsidized internet costs for more rural? poorer? parts of the country (I don’t know the guidelines) that Congress didn’t renew this year. Well, they were busy trying to lynch Hunter Biden and various members of the Cabinet, so musn’t grumble. But I will be charged starting this month. I’m thinking of keeping

The Universal Service Fund still exists? Also, the FCC said they won't charge it on broadband internet so at the moment, I don't see any news sites showing any change. Who said that they're now charging for it when they didn't before?

Spectrum has been sending messages for months to let Congress know that we wants this program. Now they tell me that the program is over. I haven't got my bill for this month yet. So we'll see.

Yeah, Spectrum is lying. USF is not cancelled. I see there's drama that Congress wants to add the USF fee to internet services since they say that funding will run out but there's nothing anywhere that indicates that it's been ended.

Ah, sorry. Found it. The Affordable Connectivity Program is different than the Universal Service Fund. Yeah, unfortunately it's ending at the end of April
