I did give one to a gofundme, but for the life of me I can't remember what for. I have monthly donations set up for several wildlife/pet charities, which is how I mostly donate.

I'm not negatively affected by strong scents, but don't wear perfume anymore. Where I worked had the same policy, though it was voluntary. I guess I got out of the habit of wearing any kind of scent.

Oh, no, I can't watch a movie if I know the dog dies. Or, like you, I'll fast forward through that part.

I am always very wary of movies where there's an animal attached to the Main Character. It seldom bodes well.
