Jared to the rescue! good boy. I was thinking about the knife for a moment last chapter but thought it wasn't much more than a toothpick against a big alpha... i guess at least the toothpick burned like hell! enough to put the fear of god back into that narcissistic bastard. Oh Chad. Oh CHAD. You know what scene i've been waiting for since the first chad scene? Chris going to chads den and finding the drawings... and then even a blind chicken can find a seed every now and again. Or maybe tom will smack him over the side of the head with it *nods* I like that idea... tom knocking chris out with chad's drawing book hehehe. jup, me like! Sooo...I guess sterling isn't dead (would be toooo easy), but know we know what he wants. I knew Jared's 'daddy' would come back to haunt them. sooo. This was act one. Something tells me that although Jared is the stronger one. In the end Jensen will kill sterling. He's got more guts than they give him credit for... especially if he gets some extra self-confidence and finds his mate in danger *nods*
Of course I had to have Jared come to the rescue, Chad too. :D Yes, the knife is only a little thing, but it is silver and that majorly hurts any wolf, alpha or not. Hehe, I love that you're on board with the whole Chris/Chad coupling and are routing for them. I think they kind of took over this story a little, lol. And now I know that you already know what's going to happen next with Sterling and with Chad and Chris but I love your thoughts about Tom wacking Chris over the head with Chad's book, lol. But then we know Chris isn't as clueless as he seems, *grins* You know, one day I'll write a character that actually has confidence in themselves, that'd be the day to buy a lottery ticket, lol. Heart in my throat through so much of this chapter. That fight was wonderfully described. Action is so difficult to get across, but you did it well, and even carried several threads.
I applauded Chad's defense of Chris, and am hoping his wounds will get Chris to wake up and smell the love. I know it's too much to hope that Sterling is mortally, or even badly, wounded, but I hope he takes a while to recover and mount an offensive.
Aw thank you. I love writing fight scenes, but yes they are very hard to get right, making it very clear what's happening when and with who without it getting confusing or not putting in enough detail. So thank you, I'm really glad it worked for you.
Hehe, is it cruel of me to say that I really enjoyed hurting Chad like that? Making Chris all weepy? Silly Chris, he just doesn't get why Chad would care for him like that.

I love that Jared rescued Jensen and that Chad rescued Chris. Sterling is a nasty little character, I can't believe he was going to break Jared down. Jared is so strong and naturally an Alpha and I wonder if there would have been anything left of Jared after Sterling finished with him. Samantha and Jeff were hot together.

Had to have my boys coming to the rescue. And yes, Sterling was evil, pure and simple, I think becoming a werewolf messed with his head or something, lol. And no I doubt there would have been, Sterling liked to get a beta and beat them down to nothing, using them for his own pleasure until they ultimately died. Being an alpha he could do that and his bond with his beta was enough to make him obsess over them, but instead of wanting to protect them he wanted to hurt them. Sick werewolf. I wish I'd had the time to elaborate more on these things. Hehe, I'm glad you liked Jeff/Sam, I have no idea where that scene came from, it wasn't in my original plan, but I just felt it needed to be there, it practically wrote itself, lol.

Jeff and Sam definitely HOT!! Thanks for that scene. I love Jared being all Heroic and Poor Chad being so self sacrificing and saving Chris. Thanks for great story.
