I thought the stew could have been thicker. Addition of potatoes or more flour would have accomplished this. Maybe fufu doubled the meat n stock without doubling the flour.

Fufu did get really irritated at us when we were in the kitchen, but that is understandable - nobody likes being told how to cook while they're cooking, although that's the only way we learn... ;)

Also as an addendum: I spilled wine on one of my favorite shirts! :( Still haven't bought franzia to get it out. I'm hoping keeping it moist will help keep the stain from setting. Otherwise, oh well. It did amuse me that paul was frightened out of the kitchen by me taking my shirt off in a panic - good sign? bad sign? I dunno. All this brings me to this: I think if Jamie Oliver's ratings ever sag, he should spill something on himself and take off his shirt on TV. KA-CHING!

good luck with the shirt. if wine doesn't work, you can always try to oxyclean it (we have oxyclean over here). the commercial says it gets red wine out... but who knows.

I think that the stew would be too much, too heavy if it were thicker. I think it would have been thicker with the cream and white wine, but then it would have been a different stew.
